161 Gin Stands

I will be heading to Alabama the week of June 17th to do some experimental work on a Continental 161 saw gin stand. Excited about this. This will have potential to increase your capacity significantly without having to buy a new gin stand.  It will also stop you from losing this pesky small seed through the rib gaps.

I am surprised at the number of ginners that are still not very familiar with the Vandergriff gin rib. We have been making it for over 16 years now. It is not a CAST rib. (weak, not accurate.)  It is  NOT made it China, India or Pakistan.  It is machined from a 1018 steel material. A forging into a rib. It will not break easily. It is very accurate, all ribs identical.  There is NO comparison between the Vandergriff Rib and weak Asian ribs.
Don't put the crap in your ginstand.
